Friday was an inclement weather day for our district, and since we had yesterday off for Memorial Day, I got to enjoy a four day weekend! It made me SO ready for summer. Less than three more weeks to go- the end is in sight!
Friday, I worked on a project I had started before, but never finished... a household binder. I love
iheartorganizing's version so I used that as my guide- as well as some free printables she has on her website! I'm hoping that the binder will be useful for us... or at least me :)
Here is the front cover and inside pages.
My sections include: important info, budget, savings, household projects, important dates, and some "peek at our week" pages.
Here it is all put together in its new home.
Saturday, we woke up and went to some yard sales, with no luck, then Kevin worked outside while I worked inside. I finished up a book I've been reading, Miles To Go. I didn't realize it was the second book in a series when I started it, but I really enjoyed it and am now going back to read the first one. It's about a man's journey as he decided to walk across the country.
Sunday afternoon, I worked on another project I have which includes some old shutters and some "birds on a wire." Interesting, huh? My goal is to create a wall piece that I can hang pictures, cards, etc. from. :) Here's what I have so far...
Monday, Kevin and I decided to do a little shopping at the outlets, so we headed to Commerce, GA. I love taking road trips with my husband... he knows how to make me laugh and always keeps things interesting. :) On the way home, we had planned on stopping and seeing The Lucky One, but little did I know, it's not in theaters anymore, so we'll be waiting until it comes to the redbox. We did stop at QT though so I could experience my first slushie.... I'm a fan!
Happy Tuesday!
